I'm guessing the music was from faries. I've often wondered if we have the fae here because Australia is so different to America and England climate-wise that I sorta assumed that we don't have the same sort. (I like to think they exist but I can't say from personal experience) I think it'd be the coolest to live in Iceland, don't they have very active faries? The ones here are probably Aboriginal types, I do know that the bush behind my house is "alive" in the sense that it is sorta like one whole congragation of beings. I only say that because I never feel alone in there and it feels like you're surrounded by friends. I only get that in my bush, but I go on the believe that you have to get to know bushland before you can be friends with it and I've grown up here and known my bush all my life. But I'm never allowed there at night, not because of my parents, but because you get the feeling you're tresspassing and Pheo says that "they" want us to go. I've tried staying until dark but Pheo panics (he very rarely does that) and I have to leave -_-
I have a little Clairaudience and a fair bit of Empathy. I often hear lots of voices before falling asleep or at different times. Once I heard a lady screaming in my head "ITS Yoooooooou!!!!!"- I was in my room, I couldn't get to sleep for an hour o.o The only other things I've seen is a person standing in my room when I woke up in the night. It was a guy and I thought it was my brother so I asked him to pick up my pillow (I'd dropped it off the bed) and he said he couldn't. I got it and went back to sleep. The other thing wei've seen is "messangers" as Pheo calls them. The stand directly outside the middle of our windows (the windows go the length of the whole wall) and stare at you. It's really creepy and I can only sence them and see them in the corner of my eye as a black figure. One was here yesterday when I was on the forum. They just stand there and stare. But morning... they're gone! Pheo says it's because they have a message for you and they give it to you in your dreams. Not a very good method if you ask me, I can't remember the dream >_<
As for empathy, I hate going on train because often passangers are depressed and it comes at you in a strong wave. Gives me a headache @_@ School isn't too bad, I just turn my emotions off so I don't feel much of anything at all. Fake laughing can be so difficult! Oh, what a long post. I guess I never get to talk to anyone about these kinds of things...

I'm an Empath. It gets annoying very fast. You never know what emotions are who's. So, to fix that, I've becomea cold, cold, cold person. I've even been able to feel stuff over the internet. One on one Aim convos though mostly, and only if the emotions are really extreme. Like, depression, hate, joy, and occasionally, mildly suicidal. The only bit I like is the joy, cuz then I'm all 'YAY for you!' I've tried to see teh fae, but haven't been able too, after like, one time. I try seeing other things, like orbs and shadow ghosts, but it just ain't happening I've also tried to develop my psychic powers, but so far what I want to do isn't happening. I wanna be able to throw people across the room eventually. And i doubt I'll get that strong, but a girl can dream. BTW, I think someone else mentioned they were trying to develop powers, but I forget who, and I'm to lazy to go check. Who ever you are, can you PM me? Thanks much ! Kaye

See? Aren't we all cool? We all have so much in common with each other that it's almost eerie, yet no one knows.
Anyways, my thoughts is that seeing them is based on belief, in fact, a fair amount of their existance is based upon Millenia of such. You know how they say that "Man created god, not God creating man"? Well, I believe it. The mind is an enourmous asset that can preform amazing feats no one ever dreamed of just by a thought or belief, and over time people have created this enormous thing of energy that has almost taken a life of its own (I suddenly realize this sounds like Dust) that we've entitled Diety or god when really we're it's equal and its to be worked with, not feared or worshiped. Each decision you make creats a new world, another ripple in the universes, if you will. Anyways, my point is that if peoples beliefs are what keeps them here (sure, it would take thousands and thousands of years to get rid of, justa s it was to create them), then wouldn't it make sense that- if people migrated- that their spiritual biengs would as well? Which would explain how irish fae and leprecauns and such made it over here, along with egyptian gods and angels and the already present manitous of the native americans. One of my fave books (American Gods by Neil Gaiman) starts off with a quote saying how the immigrant said that there were brownies and fae around, but when referring to the evil spirits, they always said that they were back at the Motehrland. XD I really don't think taht made much sense, but I tried...

Arn't they given more power by the stronger you believe in them? That would make sense if people all believed in a God and then POP! it exists. I know this is in the wrong thread but oh well- I was waiting for school to end and I found a book in the library; "The Times encyclopedia of things that never were." Of course I thought how silly it was to say things never were because new archeaological evidence suggests the Amazons may have existed and by labelling them as never existing is a bit rich. I just have a thing about the word "never," I'm a never say never kinda person ^_~ Anyway, I read a short blurb about dopplegangers. A shadow form of yourself which follows your everymove, you can talk to it if you practice and animals can sometimes see it. I just thought this sounded a little like dæmons, the book may have been incorrect but it was still interesting.

Well, yeah, it does sound like thoughtforms. *is suprised jnever made the connection. * -o.o-; Anyways, the doppleganger does sound like daemons. *ponders* no one really ever has the belief down to a prrfect 'T' just because of how wide-spread it is. Hmm. Maybe your daemon could /settle/ as a doppleganger? *ponder*

Your messengers sound creeeeeeeepy.
I've had vivid sleep paralysis episodes where things were pushing me off the bed from underneath. One time there was something in the corner of my room. Shadowy thing. Once there was a dark figure at the end of my bed with red eyes. Another time there was some kind of weird shadow animal that rushed from across the room and was going to jump on my bed. Red eyes as well. *shudders* scary stuff. I was paranoid for a long time. Really paranoid, not just saying it. I would jump at every sudden movement. I was always looking around. I was certain that I was really asleep and that something was about to attack me. People would often ask me why I kept flinching.
I've heard of dopplegangers. They do sound like daemons, but they kinda sound like deaths too.

I saw a 'thing' in a robe and I remmeber not seeing its red eyes, but just big red eyes. *shudder* Yeah, I was really aranoid for like...a week afterwards. *shudder* Both times it's happened the thing was on the side of my bed, though once there was more than one. Aliens, I saY! Aliens!!! XD

Yeah ok thanks for that Ghost But dopplegangers, sounds interesting but I think it's more to do with deaths too. As for the religion part, I'm kinda close-minded and I don't like things that are controversial to my religion, so I can't really comment but the daemon/doppleganger thing was cool!

Well what was the name of the book? I'd love to read it. In fact, I've got a question related to this but I'll make a new thread for that.... But aren't your deaths different in appearance? Maybe they can change form from human to human like your daemon can change from animal to animal?

I'm quite a strong Empth. Twice, I felt what a family member of mine was feeling form the other side of my town. Very creepy, but very useful. Check out a thread I mad a long time ago in GeneralChat called Psychic-ness. I think that I inherited this from my mom, who felt that something was wrong with my great-grandmother on the other side of the earth. VERY freaky.
A VERY long time ago, I had such a fever that I thought I could fly (this did not turn out well ;D ). I also could see shadowy things on the ceiling, and I've been paranoid ever scince. (sometimes I even booby-trap my room ;D). E.g. I attached my door to a key to a peice of string to a metal bin that was full of metal objects. Also, I once set up a series of trip wires around and in my room.
Also, I sometimes hear voices calling out "Angus! Angus... Angu!" in different voices. Luckily, I heared them when the sun was out, and I was able to sleep.

Other Empaths, yay!
For me, being empathetic is odd... emotionally, I know people are feelings things, but I never know who, and I can never tell in person... so I'm a pretty sad excuse for one, I suppose.
Though I wish everyone could just be open with their words, it'd make things much easier...

>_< I'm not, I'm blind when it comes to how people are eeling, but I can tell how people are connected, like if people walk down the street,I can tell if they're lovers or cousins, and being in TN,its odd to see it when it's both. ; XD I'm jk. That's yet to happen.butother than thsoe kind of feelings (especially towards me),I'm blind at emotions unless I know the person really well.
