For the last time hopefully, its a HOAX. I'll copy and paste THIS from the general chat board,....... ---- I'll copy n paste this from hoaxbusters.ciac.org.....excellent hoax busting site. The entire thing is a joke--don't take it sersiously. ~~~~~~~~~~ Bonsai Kittens Joke September 2001 Bonsai Kittens??? It's a joke son!!! Someone saw this joke site, thought it was real, and started circulating an Internet petition. While the cats in the pictures don't look too happy being stuffed into jars to have their pictures taken I have seen cats climb into jars and other small places like that all on their own. Besides that, an Internet petition has no validity whatsoever and is a waste to pass around. To anyone with love and respect for life: In New York there is a Japanese who sells "bonsai-kittens". Sounds like fun huh? NOT! These animals are squeezed into a bottle. Their urine and faeces are removed through probes. They feed them with a kind of tube. They feed them chemicals to keep their bones soft and flexible so the kittens grow into the shape of the bottle. The animals will stay their as long as they live. They can't walk or move or wash themselves. Bonsai-kittens are becoming a fashion in New York and Asia. See this horror at: www.bonsaikitten.comPlease sign this email in protest against these tortures. If you receive an email with over 500 names, please send a copy to: xxxxxx@hotmail.com From there this protest will be sent to USA and Mexican animal protection organizations. If you send this to your friends: Use the copy & paste method in an NEW email to keep this readable....

Go to bed and think about how similar some of your jokes have been to the people who made this hoax... There's something meaningful.....
Most cats I've seen usually like jars......and they don't usually turn into the shape of the jar, so there's something nice and happy to think about. Besides, whoever made that site probably got a helluvu laugh about it.

Please, please tell me that was a hoax?! If it is true it is the most disgusting thing ever! Cal is going psycho and I feel physically sick!! Doesn't this count as animal cruelty? Shouldn't it be illegal?

don't worry Zoe, IT IS A HOAX. IT IS NOT REAL. THERE ARE NO JAR-SHAPED KITTENS IN THIS WORLD. DON'T WORRY. And it WOULD be illegal (you know, if anyone actually did that )

You know, I've had people try to defend this website against me, because it is 'only a joke.'
*spits*
Please. So was Septimbre 11- Osama: "Hey, America! It was funny, see? HAHAHAHA!!!!"
Or, say, the Holocaust- Hitler: "No, no, really, the Jews- they're great. I love them!"
People. Sicken. Me.
*cuddled Kryii who is whimpering*
I was going to leave it at that, but I can't. Hoax or not, the thing I have a real problem with is these people have a 'kids cornor,' in which they have testimonials from respected people like a 'doctor' saying how good it is for kids to try this out and attempt it themselves.
Okay, I understand it's bull... photoshoped and all. But what's a 7 year old going to think? It's irresponsible, and it's sick on a basic level. It's like shouting 'bomb' in an airport. Sorry, but you don't have the right. "Freedom of speech" Go eat lead, ^^

I could not have said it better myself, Alexei.
Sick, sick hoax.. when I first saw it about two years ago, I thought it was real. Some people are sick enough to actually try that.. and that's what scares me.

Quite frankly, I think its absolutly hilarious, after all, its one big inside joke, I've had an unbelievable amount of fun with those at school, fooling people who thought they were real. Then one of them punched you in the face........ But really, it is mostly harmless, no seven year old would be stuipid enough to try it, and those crazy people who might actually try this, there are animal protection agencies to deal with them. Just my opinion, but basically it just requires you to take the stuff of the site with a grain of salt.

Just my opinion, but basically it just requires you to take the stuff of the site with a grain of salt. I hold a salt shaker in my hand. That isn't the problem. Have you looked over their kid's page? It encourages people to do this; it has "DOCTORS" telling how great it is, and what can the Animal Protection agencies do? you have a seven year-old who saw this site, the "legal" stuff they were offering, and wanted to try it. So this kid ends up killing the kitten trying to get it into the jar-- and the cops say "okay, ten years, kid." HECK NO. There is a place for humour, don't get me wrong. I appreciated it, I got a laugh from it. But the pages talking about how "easy" it is for "kids to do it themselves!" and then, THEN they have sources that seem somewhat credible vouching for them. It is irresponsible. This is America, for most of us anyway. And even in the UK, Ireland, Russia, Australia... Do you honestly think that there are not people out there who would want to try this? Becasue if you do... wow. You don't know people.
