I am an excellent writer. I've written 4 total fanfics before this one. All of them were for IGN's Pokémon board. I've decided to share my talents with everyone here.
This story is tied to HDM in that it involves dæmons and Dust. This is the only way that it is tied to HDM. This takes place in one of the many worlds that exists. There are infinite worlds, so it makes sense that more than one would have dæmons, yes? In this world, on a planet called Geran’tara (Pronounced ger-RAN-tuh-RAH), sorcery and magic run amok. This, in fact, is how the dæmons exist. This magic is channeled through Spectral Energy, which is, you guessed it, Dust. Those gifted enough to become a student of magic must take a test to see if they are worthy of learning magic. This test is to give their dæmon a physical form. They must be able to perform a very complicated spell, which isolates the soul. Once a person completes this task, they are accepted as a sorcerer. I won’t give away any more, lest I ruin the story for you.

Chapter 1 – The Mystic
Some time ago, when the idea of magic was still controversial, the world was torn. Spectral Energy, the source of all power, began to drain. In order to try to stop the Spectral Energy from entirely leaving, Sanar, a person living on the planet Geran’tara, followed this drainage to its source.
He discovered that the Energy was flowing out through tears into what he called ‘negative space’.
Sanar was one of the few who believed that Spectral Energy could be used the do things with such power as to destroy entire worlds. He founded The Order of the Mystic in order to find individuals whom he deemed worthy to harness such power.
He had always seemed strange to the people of Geran’tara. He was always followed by a large, brutal, spotted, and carnivorous feline. Geran’tara never housed such an animal, for most of the planet’s surface was cold. He would also babble on about ‘other worlds’, but those who lived on the planet would hear nothing of it. He was a powerful man, and also malicious. Those whom he disliked often went missing, and a few were found dead.
The people could not punish him, however, because they believed him to be in command of strange powers. The people were very afraid of him.
When he first introduced the idea of Spectral Energy, the people dismissed it as another one of his ludicrous fantasies. Eventually, though, Sanar gained believers. This is when he founded The Order.
After being accepted into The Order, people would become like him, with some animal always by their side. “This is the Mark of The Order,” they would say.
Over time, Sanar became ill. He said to his followers, “My time is almost up. I shall be able to do only one more thing before I die.”
This is when the Energy began to disappear.
After discovering the source of the disappearance, he told his followers, “This drainage will shortly stop, but it shall begin again. I shall create nine magical artifacts. These shall contain enough energy to do anything, when combined together. Each one shall be cast throughout the many worlds. Those nine that I trust most shall become… a Keybearer.”
He set about creating the artifacts. It took him a long time. Each one housed a different crystal, which would channel the Energy stored within. Upon completion of each one, he took a piece of each crystal and created with it, a Key, one for each artifact.
The identities of these artifacts have long since been forgotten, but before Sanar left into the void of negative space, he took eight of the nine artifacts, so that he may scatter them throughout the worlds. He also gave one Key to each of the nine Keybearers, so that they could pass it along through each generation.
Soon after departing the world that housed Geran’tara, Sanar completed his task and died in peace, though not before finally seeing his own world after the many long years he had been away from it.
As prophesized by Sanar, the drainage of the Spectral Energy stopped. These times were recorded, and after many thousands of years these events became myth and were forgotten in the mists of time…
But now, an heir appears…
---------------------------
How was the first chapter? I thought it was good. I usually update often, so check back every so often if you found it was good.
EDIT: I forgot to mention, the drainage of Spectral Energy is the drainage of Dust in HDM. So, by logical reasoning, this fanfic takes place thousands of years into the future.
