It's weird that so many people HATE rooms with open doors, because I have that too. Especially when I'm sleeping, I can't have my door open. Even when my dog wakes up early in the morning and pushes open the door to go out, I automatically wake up to groggily get up and close it.
How odd.

I'm really paranoid about being at home on my own. if my dog's there it's alright because I know she'd bark and growl if anyone tried to break in (not that it's likely in broad daylight...) but if it's just me I jump at every little sound and have carry around a tennis racquet or a baseball bat (just in case I need to bash evil abducters over the head with it) and have my phone on me at all times ;D I know. How neurotic is that?

I'm evilly obsessive-complusive. If I have books or whatever on a desk, I have to line them up so they're the same distance from the sides and from each other. But only if they're rectangular. I rearrange the glasses in the dishwasher. And I can't have doors open either, or windows uncovered after dark.
*glances around, then gets up and shuts the door*
You sound like a total nutcase.

Hmmm I really can't find what it's called.
I'll ask Joel today though....he should know. He told me last time, anyway...
I found another bad habit of mine: I crack my fingers. And my wrists. And my neck. And my back. And my toes. ^^ yay go me.

I hate rooms with open doors, too. They feel....creepy, somehow, especialy if I've got my back to them. I guess I've read too many ghost books. ;D
For those who know me, I'm back, by the way! Some problems with moving house and Internet connections, but I'm back for good.

Yeah, I bite my nails. It's so hard to stop aswell. I bite the skin around my nails aswell, sometimes so much that it's all raw and painful afterwards. I do it when I'm bored, or nervous.
Oh yeah, about the obsessive-compulsive thing. When I'm walking home from my bus stop, I have to get past a certain crack in the pavement before the next car comes by, otherwise it'll be bad, and something bad will happen.
I'm also superstitious. Well, I don't really believe in it, but I'm paranoid enough to not walk under ladders just in case.
Hm, yes. Weird.

Maybe its a bird thing,so you like big open spaces instead of being cramped in a cave. I can't see a bird liking to be in a cave. unless it was a bat. but bats aren't bird. They're rats with wings. Nemith's part wing-rat. Maybe not--Raven has a, well, raven, and she's freaked out about the open doors thing.....goll, is it just me? *looks 'round*

No doors to bother shutting, then!
We stayed in a villa like that on holiday in Spain. It was a really big villa, with lots of rooms leading off one twisting corridor, but none of the rooms had doors, and only some had windows, so the light effects were really spooky, with some parts of the house cloaked in shadow and some nice and light. Every time I peered down the corridor, I kept thinking: "Is that a shape standing at the end of the corridor?......"
He did.
I really am that insanely paranoid.
He is.
Well if am, then you probably are too!
*silence*
