>_>; ::shows up:: I have ... negative number amounts of free time right now, so I didn't really look at this very closely. So I've no idea what it is, but if it's just simple speech bubbles, I doubt the coding's that complicated. Tedious, maybe. But yeah, I can't really add any more projects on, sorryyy. :_:

Raaaaaa. It's 2 GIF files, one the background, one the foreground, which makes it easy to change to move stuff around. Then there's some image maps on the characters, which link to Javascript functions to change the value of two textboxes, or are anchors to other pages. It's really simple: <!--// function writetext(string) { document.form1.textarea.value=string } function writearrow(string) { document.form2.input.value=string } //--> Either of those functions can be called on an OnClick or OnMouseOver. Yeah...Hey all Hope that helps anyone who tries to have a go. The tricky bit would be the images, not the code.

My problem is linking the actual click with the textarea. I'm not sure of how to do that. I'll go through that websites coding and see how it works, and maybe just steal bits and pieces of it.

I'm pretty sure it was in the thread in which Aaron complained about the forum's decreasing chat culture. It got off topic in the end. ...I thought I started talking about it with the 'forum industrial oven'... which is why I liked the idea of taking a tour of it. I've always had a mental picture of the forum house in my head with rooms for each board as though you go there to discuss certain topics. It was you who started it, but we got into it in Aaron's thread with all the who would be in which room and jazz.

=D I want my polls to have voting booths. Hahah. And then a little sitting/coffee shop area. =3 All the mods should decide what the board looks like. Naturally, the ones that double-mod would have to agree. Other Sites....just...:\.....a room with a lot of windows so that you're looking out into other sites.

General Chat would be a big wide open room with lots of junk and games on the floor. And two thrones for me and Cat. > >

Textarea... y'know you can also hide and show things with a div layer. And like Jalada said, the onMouseClick (onClick? I don't actually know Javascript's commands well) is how you link the appearance with mouse click.

I don't actually know Javascript's commands well) is how you link the appearance with mouse click. I'm thinking of just stealing the entire code there, change the coordinates and image, and then just put in the specific details I want (colors, text sizes, etc). EDIT: 10 minutes later...Alrighty! I can get the text done and stuff. I figured out I can do all of this on Microsoft Frontpage. So whenever somebody wants to get some images done, just send them over to me so I can start working on them. Which brings me to a bit of a problem: hosting this. Where would I host this? It needs to be on a server of sorts, and I don't think that putting it on TDF is a good idea. I mean, enough bandwidth is being used, right? I'll search around for some free server space. Maybe Geocities is going to be nice to me.

Huzzah! *munches*
Alrighty, so I went off to Geocities, and found something even better than what I was expecting. I can just build my websites using the straight HTML source coding. And I can also just host the images on Imageshack to save some more space. So whenever you get the images ready, you can just post them on here or something.

This is totally awesome! I might be convinced to help with images (maybe) once we know exactly what we want. I'm quitting my job, so I'll have lots of free time. ^.^

Which brings me to a bit of a problem: hosting this. Where would I host this? If you outgrow Geocities, and because of TDF's bandwidth problems, I have a ton of spare bandwidth across several sites I administer. You are welcome to have some space + bandwidth on one them. I've always debated giving TDF some bandwidth too, but I fear that it would be a lot of effort to get going, and a bit intruding (it'd be much better just to donate some money for the bandwidth). So ya. Get hold of me over MSN: foalys_apprentice[at]hotmail.com. And hey Spiral! Raaar

Before I begin, I'm going to need the images, and who says what where. Also a small map would be nice for connecting the rooms, as in:
Common Room <---> Analysis Board ^ | V Introduction Room <---> Room Full of Sherry
Just where the rooms are linked to and what not, so I can link them as I host the images.

Spi- What's up with Komui? xD That room is awesome, though.
-grumbles something about Frontpage adding in worthless code- ...but we're not involved, so we're not getting into that. e_e; Sorry.

That's what I was looking for. Goodie! Ok, now I need the images for each room, and the chat for each person to say in the room. I'll leave all of that to you guys.
