Yeah, were all nonconformists, thats true practically everywhere, I guess it's because boards are a place where you can be free, you can say whatever you want, and nobody who can affect you in real life will think any worse at all of you. Also, I think nonconformists are especially attracted to the dæmon forum because, quite frankly, a lot of us have pleanty of free time, what with not doing whatever is "big" at our schools. The superathletics, the over-acheievers, the less intellegant people, they are all too busy with their other lives to invest in the time it takes to know themselves, or to know the communities which message boards provide. In many ways, the boards can give us a feeling of beloning that we lack in real life, I know they certainly give me that feeling....... However on the point of 13 year old girl, I beg to differ. I have visted many boards in my time on the internet, and in most cases the populations are primarily plain old nonconforimists, take BTTS for example, most of them are slightly odd people, and many of them are of above average intellect. However, most of them are not 13 year old girls. Boards like this one, however are more likely to attract 13 year old girls because society in many ways shapes boys not to look too deeply into philosophy (Until Collage that it) or knowing oneself, and that is what the essence of boards like this one are. The dæmon forum may also attract more girls than boys because, not to steriotype, but girls can be more openminded about such things, I know if I told 20 other guys in my grade about the forum 18 of them would say I was crazy, one would seem slightly interested, and the last would think it was "Demon" and try to exorcise me. As for the girls, it would be more evenly split, about 12 of them would probably not seem very interested, but respect it, while 2-4 would probably actually begin to believe. The rest would think I was crazy. Maybe my school isn't normal, but I tried my best to be objective in this case, sorry for the long, rambling, and off topic post..... Errr I guess I shouldn't have come here, after all, its the dæmons only......

Message boards act as a big sifter or something. People, no matter the interests or intelligence, are all thrown into the school. But message boards attract those who are like-minded.

oh myyy gooooddd i HATE proto typical non conformists. my schhool is FULL of them, pretentious idiots , 40 yr olds in teenagers bodies , elitists posing as anti-elitists , looking down on people that are ' normal ' ' common' or 'ignorant' because they dress a certain way, i.e someone who wears what they like, but what they like happens to be in style at the time. They think they are soo effin better than everyone. Leftist Art Snobs. thank the effin gods i got kicked out of that program and am moving schools. honestly...how can you 'teach art'? you know those paintings of like, two lines that sell for like millions of bucks? you know what i would get if i tried to pass that shit off as art in my class? A million bucks? try an F. art sucks.

... a lot of us have pleanty of free time, what with not doing whatever is "big" at our schools. The superathletics, the over-acheievers, the less intellegant people, they are all too busy with their other lives to invest in the time it takes to know themselves, or to know the communities which message boards provide... Psh, wei are the the exception. Wei're into all these sport things, are constantly driven by Tracy's parents to excel (and do so), and most certainly do NOT have too much free time (except on weekends when Tracy doesn't have a competition or when she's finished all of her homework, like today). Phew, it's hard to find free time, but wei slack to find it... ocassionally... Hey, don't blame me! It's my lazy cat personality that longs for comfort and it's the reason I procrastinate so that I can get online... And besides, all of my friends are like me too: over-acheiving honor students who occasionally like to slack off and find an escape. This just happens to be mine, so there! Hey, don't blame ME... you irresponsible girl! And occasionally? Lazy bum!Grrr! Oh crap, wei're severely off, off, OFF subject.... oops?

Hmmm well that would have to be when she was in 8th grade and thought that she would try and get one of those metal stripes out of the back of CD cases that make the alarm go off. Yeah she started cutting it open with a pocket knife that really was sharpe and not really dull at all and cut deep into her pointer finger on her left hand which she has a matching one on the right hand same finger from when she was 5 years old could have cut the nerve ends both times. In total 12 stitchs on one hand three on the other.

I resist the urge to say that humans are stupid. This may be because the only people I'm around (Other than Sayuri, o'course) are high-school kids. Sure, I've met some smart humans, but you have to admit that the teenage years seem to seep of concentrated ignorance and recklessness hormones.
Not a good combination..
Sayuri's guilty of cutting, sadly, but doesn't do it anymore.

I'm sure Alexei has done some stupid things, but he's never really been hurt or anything. He climbs (rocks), which is a little dangerous, but always with equitment. And he has done some stupid things like running with scissors... but he's just a cautious person. -_- Who can't bloody type... Lousy secratary, you ask me.

X.X *is one of top students in art* Ok, I can live with your opinion, I'll just develop my own that all art teachers are crummy, no matter what country they're in! Your teacher seems as though they were hopless because they couldn't explain those art movements properly! Just like my teacher! art teacher sucks. ...i dont think you get it...Im art student too, more than you actually, because I had to audition and prepare a portfolio and have tons of interviews before i was allowed in the program. Its not about the movements, you cannot teach art , its all about your own voice, not people telling you how its done. It is not something you can give a grade . The whole thing is ridiculous...I stayed for the expirience that they offer, if i was in a regular school I wouldnt get the chance to do art as much, supplies are so expenisve...plus..they offer lots of trips. new york here i come...

You're both so stubborn, there's no way she'd back away from it. I'll be honest, though. Alexei hasn't gone climbing since I settled. It's almost been what, a year? No, a little more. *sighs* So, yeah... I'm kind of curious what he's going to do now. He hasn't been up into the mountains since septimbre '03, I think, because of various issues. Not on a wall since Dec the same year. Meh. That's goign to change the first few weeks of April, though, I think. *grins*

*sigh* Wei miss teh rocks. Wei usually just go outdoor, but indoor is fine too. But having that feeling of being wayyyy up there, with the wind on your back, and your hands on the rocks, I tell Ali its like she's flying.......she misses it a lot. I'll force her to go sometime this year. ;D
