Remember in the Raising Kids thread we mused on how children would react to the concept of daemons, I have your answer here people. I told my two younger brothers, aged 9 and 8 and described their daemons and their souls before giving the actual names, daemons. We now have two lil daemians who have talked to their daemons non-stop since they learnt about it, it took them a while to envision their daemons and James actually jumped when he saw a tiger in front of him. James' daemon has been a female centaur too and he had to ask me what she was doing because he hadn't heard of the mythological creature before. They haven't decided on names yet, just 'my daemon' and have been asking a ton of questions. If you guys want me to ask them other things about their daemons just post them here and I'll ask them.

I can see that happening. I hate kids, usually. At least if they're between ages 2-7. After that they're so......I don't know. It's crazy how they notice and accept things because it's still 'ok' for them to do so. I like that. congrats. I hope the idea stays with them and they keep talking with the daemons.

Wow, that's cute. ^^ Do they talk to their daemons aloud?

Hmmm... I might try that with my 9 year old sister sometime. I think they should just keep talking, that's all there is to it.

I just hope that when they get older they don't think it's dumb to have 'imaginary friends' or something and forget about them.

Yeah it's hard for them to concentrate but they're trying. They don't talk to them aloud no, but apart from their age they'e just like any other daemon.

Cool. My 9 year old sister doesn't really do anything with her dæmon that I know of, but once in a while she'll ask me about Sy.

I think it's more like, she accepts it, but doesn't remember it half the time.

When i first read the books..umm 2 summers ago i always explained to everyone about dæmons and the only person in my family that thought it was cool was my little sister and she used to really like it, then when i sort of lost touch with perce'co i think she forgot mostly about dæmons and decided they must not be real. I've mentioned acouple times recently about dæmons and she's been in a real lazy TV mood lately so it's hard for her to listen *shrug* maybe she'll remember on her own but i still wish she'd like them again since she was the only on in my family that enjoyed the concept of dæmons. okay sorry this was long XP

The only people I told were my best friend and my mom. My friend thinks it's cool when I bring it up, and my mom just quietly accepts it as some phase. When I ask her if she thinks I'm crazy, she says, "of course not!". But she doesn't look me in the eyes when she says it.

The only person that I've told about Rinto is Daisy (evil_midnight_fox) and Emma, who didn't take it too well. Stupid close-minded fool..
