I was just thinking ti would eb a good idea to have a string dedicating to little ways we can keep out humans feeling good about themselves, since that is one of our most important jobs.
I'll Start: -give random little pep talks -sing his/her favorite song -do something funny such as take the form of an animal you both now is not right, just to lighten the mood and make them laugh -do a crazy little happy dance....I've adopted the one that Japoro does at the bottom of Okibi's page as it has always appealed to me and I am spendind much of my time as a weasel these days*growls(yes, I can growl even in weasel-form, just like I manage to do a dance that most actual weasels wound not be able to do...)*and I forbid anyone to copy me!*glares around for one last warning* If you wanna use this brilliant tip of mine, I suggest you find ur own dance! Not that many of you could, since you've settled as bigger animals who would look awkward running around on ur hindlegs*grin* I manage to simply look weirdly adorable. ;D
Well, that all I got for now, since my girl is inconvienenced with physical body that needs sleep...

I'm overly sarcastic and cutting, but for some reason it always makes her happier. //Raven: No it doesn't! You're just annoying.// Aha! Denial! She hates being told she's wrong, so by pointing out her every error, it makes her more understanding, and she isn't as angry at herself for messing up. I give her hugs, of course, as a large fluffy jaguar. I always sing to her, too., and we sing duets very often. My singing form is a five-and-a-half-foot kangaroo! Raven have awful croaky voices, you know.

My tip is to tell your human that whatever's happening probably won't matter in the long run. Usually it doesn't, humans just seem to get so caught up in the moment and they can't extend thier views past the next five minutes. It gets annoying.

Ah. All very good points, everyone. My tips would include; -Dancing at random. Ra tends to listen to a lot of loud, hard music. Mostly metal and rock and things, so I headbang. It's actually fun. I headbang or sing along to her favourite songs, acting out the words or story. She loves to see this, and it keeps her busy. -Also, I know for one, my girl has issues with her body. She's not a small child. I'll tell you that, but I like telling her that, I am a wolverine. I'm not small either. But I'm strong and she is also. So, basically, tying-in your (as a dæmon) most common form and run with it.

-evil grin- I shall tell you fun stuff -I howl when she plays her music, exspecially AFI, they're fun to howl to. She gets a kick out of that {Misty-Do not! You just THINK I do!} -When shes not feeling very happy I sometimes wrap my wings around her and lick her face to let her know that if none of her friend 'care' that I do {Misty-That I can agree with } -peers at Rome- What about skanking to punk and ska? Not that Misty really listens to either but hey.. skanking randomly can be fun!

All I have to do is talk to him. I talked to him on the bus one day going to school and he was in a good mood all day - even when he got detention AND had to pick up litter for both brakes, for a week.

Same here. A good Silvix-talk always cheers him up. Mainly because it's all hilarious nonsense ;D

Panaka - When my human gets too depressed about herself, I bite her Not really, not unless she's wallowing in self-pity. I snap her out of THAT quite quickly, I can tell you! Whenever she's feeling very down, I turn into a large bear and hug her. I kiss her. Randomly. It's fun. I just walk up to her and give her a huge big MUAH! Then she starts laughing I howl obscenities at people who make her feel bad. I swear violently and unnecessarily at them. OK, maybe it's aggressive, but it takes away the need for Zed to feel defensive. I sing to her. I either sing silly, made up songs to take her attention away from being embarrassed or whatever, or I sing songs with touching lyrics that describe how I feel about her. And last but not least, I do the exact opposite of anything she tells me, or I disagree with her just to see how much I can annoy her. Muhahaha... She likes it, really. (Zed: You're just egotistic...)

Rano: That's good that we have this nice little adviceish thing here. Sometimes Hannah gets depressed or something, and I'm not quite sure how to make her feel better. I do sing to her a song that her grandmother used to sing, but only really when she's trying to get to sleep. I might be able to do some of these things in the future to cheer her up! I'd rather not have to, but since something is inevitably(sp?) going to happen, they are good things to know.

Right now, Keira's really stressed. She has a ton of homework due Monday and even though she's practically done she's really nervous for school (wei're going to a whole new school, see (highschool). Finally, she got so stressed, she put down her books, went into the bathroom, shut the door, and sat down on the floor with her back against the wall. So I gave her something like a 5-10 minute lecture explaining to her how everything was allright and what was there to worry about? (she was even short of breath she was so stressed) and after I had finished her breathing was back to normal and she was thinking reasonably again. So me talking to her helps her a lot.

Ah highschool. Yes, Ra's going there also. The only thing she seems to be nervous about is her parents. Perfectionists in a way. I like to roar at her and tell her to be strong, because, a weak wolverine, isn't a good wolverine at all, you know? Ra gets depressed a lot. When she does, I tell her to sing. Mostly with Amy Lee, because her songs are all gothic and woe-is-me. It makes her feel better in an instant. Also, most humans would cut themselves, right? I snarled at Ra when she tried to grab a knife, and instead, she scratches herself. >> It doesn't leave a permament mark. I won't talk her out of it. I'd rather her feel pain and know it hurts then wonder all the time.

Ali already has enough to deal with on her plate.....she is looking forward to school just to get some normality back into her life. Weir'e also attending High School.....it isn't as bad as you think, Kirjavi In fact....wei like it a lot more than middle school. Yuck. Anyways.....a good pep talk always works for me, even if my human doesn't exactly know its me talking =3 I'm not much of a singer.....but weird dancing always works for me. Ali always likes that a lot...... Ali also stresses about school a lot. All of her friends are really smart it seems, she is just different, but she doesn't realize it all the time. I kinda have to honk at her a lot to get her to quit comparing herself--she does that soo much too! But I still love her. And Rome, my human doesn't like to admit it, but she's a scratcher too. Except with fingers, on her head. I've been trying to get her to quit it, so I think its working! Glad your human doesn't do too much damage, though. Wei luv her!

Keira never really gets depressed ever, she just gets really stressed and feels really down sometimes. Like Ali, she's very different than her friends. She looks deeper into things. She acts carefree a lot in front of her friends and as if nothing you say to her will make her upset or angry. But really, deep down, she's actually pretty sensitive to things and has a shorter temper than they think. She's just a worrier, what can I say? but I love her still...I just have to get her to lighten up sometimes and enjoy the moment for what it's worth.

Ali's the same way. She sure likes to cover up her feelings.....it gets uber annoying after a while But yeah, she thinks differently than other people, which sometimes comes back to bite her in the butt, but its a good thing, I think. And yeah, I can't help but like her (Ali: Durr! Your'e me!) Ignore her.

Yes, I think it's good too. I mean, nobody has to know exactly what she's feeling every moment of the day. But she does need to relax more and be a little less sensitive. She's pretty secretive that way.
