I came up with this concept from Amelia's Desirable Forms? topic.
So I was wondering, if people have daemons of animals and anime characters, why not of dinosaurs? I mean, why wouldn't they exist? So I have two questions - one, does anyone have a daemon that is of an extinct origin (preferably prehistoric), and does anyone have any theory as to why they aren't common?

Well someone (and with my super memory i forgot who it was) had a pterodactyl daemon (see in...erm...some thread i forgot) maybe the reason dinosaurs or extinct species are rare is that that would be a very old fasion thinking person...and now most people think the same.

What about dragons and fantasy animals? Can they take forms of made up animals?

Short answer: Yes. I know of a wolf-dragon dæmon, a phoenix dæmon, and a unicorn dæmon.

Ooo! Unicorn!
I know if my Rano was a female his second form would (after the one he has now) be a dragon. A pink dragon. * shudders at the word "pink"* At one point wei thought he might settle as a saber toothed cat. But that was a long time ago.

One of my closest friends is a white unicorn. Very regal and proud and gentle. It fits her perfectly.
Anywho, one time, I remember vividly, my Rome took the form of a velocorapter. It was quite fun. It was at Island of Adventure, on the Jurassic Park ride, so it was perfect. While he was a rapter, I felt very predatory, like I could attack and eat anytime. Very quick and sinsiter. o.O
I think dinsosaurs could be just as common as regular animals, except for the fact that no one knows too much about how a dinosaur acts, their traits and behavoir and whatnot because they're extinct, and bones can't really tell us too much.

You'd be amazed at what bones can actualy tell you, but i do agree with you Ra. Oh and that was you , i confused "pterodactyl" and "veloceraptor" ...badbad short term memory!

Kami might turn into a dinosaur sometime, if I'm lucky. I used to be obsessed with Dinosaurs ^^ He usually turns into an interesting animal I see on tv, like the chamelion he turned into yesterday. He didn't much like that though

Short answer: Yes. I know of a wolf-dragon dæmon, a phoenix dæmon, and a unicorn dæmon. A wolf-Dragon! That sounds so cool! Was that form inspired by an anime character, or did that persons daemon just become that creature out of the blue one day?

It's an "original" form. Not from an anime or anything.
