This is my first post, I found this web site through my friend Hannah, and I find the subject particularly fascinating, but I have not yet read the books, would these explain it to me how to start finding my daemon?

Well then, let me be first to say Welcome to our little "crazy corner." No, we're not really insane. Don't worry about it. ^^
But to make things easier for you, I would start speaking to my dæmon before I started to project it outside my body, but still in my mind like an imaginary friend. You've had one I hope? Because it's basically the same thing. Imagining another form outside your own body and all. But you should start off by saying something like, "Hello?" to yourself inside your mind. Seeing that your dæmon is always, always inside you, you should recive an answer. And don't worry if you think that you're just answering yourself, because you are. Your dæmon is you, so you share everything. Ideas and emotions, etc.
I hope I've helped somewhat. If not, don't be scared to ask more questions. There's tons of people in the forum who'd be happy to help. Or maybe you could even try to browse around Okibi's site some more.

thanks, that reminds me of the times when it seems that I am talking to myself, and I reply to myself but then think that it's only myself. My guess is that I should just let free my mind of trying to answer myself and just let it happen, and just look and see what I see?

That's a good idea. I like going out for walks in the quiet to carry on conversations with my Romulues. And sometimes, when I get those awful heachaches, I just choose to sit in a quiet corner and speak outloud with my dæmon. It helps to clear my head. Just let the answers flow. Nothing is wrong with talking to yourself.
You're welcome. Any time.

Yes.. That is my insane little friend. Alex is... Alex. Or should I say Alexcia!!! She's gonna kill me for that.
My daemon gave his name its own meaning. "Wild Magic" (you'll have to ask him why)

Maddox's name apparently means "son of maddoc". Trouble is...I've no idea who Maddoc is! Perhaps its the name of one of my parents daemons? Who knows?

Maybe Maddox means something else to him. Ask him and see. Like with me. The name Rhokath ment nothing to me, but it did to Rano. And even if it did mean something in another language , to us it would still be the meaning Rano gave it.

We all know who Romulus is. No need for me to explain further, right? ^^ My dæmon's name is Romulues, though. Pronounced differently.

apperently we found this site through the same person blake just blake! do you know your daemon yet? the name i mean, mine is Ephrem. apparently so ms. Alexcia no middle name Garza ;D But, how do I actually know I'm talking to my daemon, or what it looks like, I mean I say something to, myself I guess, and then I get a reply in my mind, but I see no animal in my mind, I also sometimes get two answers, and some of them are in strange voices, like one answer starts off then the other one interrupts it and t hey are both opposit, I'm sure I'm making this all much harder than it actually is, but ahhhh

well it's like two different voices, one male and one female, the first female, and they arent really subjects you just change your mind on

Ok. I've got no idea. Maybe you should try to visualize them. First the female voice. Maybe you should ask them why there are two and why they argue. If I've got a question, usually I go to my daemon first. I generally come up with an answer.

yeah, but I dont really get how I'm supposed to do that? Just try to visualize whatever I'm supposed to be visualizing and it'll show up? I dont think they exactly argue, I think one is my daemon, saying what I really feel, and then the other part is what I want to hear.
