-jumps in quite late- yes cat, i am posting!! i read through this thread in a state of amazement because some of these things have happened to me as well. recently-last week- i was thinking about our house being haunted...which doesnt really make sense but kinda does when i think about all the odd happenings ex: my brother's sliding door opened by itself which i think is nearly impossible o.O when i was a baby my mom said i used to stare at things that my mom couldnt see... sometimes i get a prickly feeling when im in the basement and shadow's fur stands on end...imagination? mebbe, but this has happened when i was thinking about something un-scary i.e msn sometimes shadow/I get a really strong feeling about something ...like, really strong! -hard to describe!- but its about the outcome of something, or a premonition of something about to happen... i have tonnes of examples for this so i wont write them edit: i only fixed errors ...i left some things out -.- im falling asleep here

You know, Ali, children are much more receptive to ghosts than adults. Mayhaps that explains your staring at invisible things.
Alrighty, here's Weird Incident Number Two:
The digital alarm on my nightstand ( same one Pocket read the time off ) faces away from my bed ( which is why I was "too lazy to lean over and check the time" ). The reason for this is, it's very bright. I like sleeping in PITCH DARKNESS. So, I put a notebook or something leaning on the clock at night, to block the light. ( I made a rhyme. ) One night the notebook fell. I rolled over and started searching, groping around the floor for it. I couldn't find it. It was like it had disappeared.
Pocket, who was curled up at the end of my bed as a wolf, said sleepily, "Just turn on the stupid lamp." "No way," I shot back. "My eyes just got used to the dark. I don't want to blind myself." So I continued to search, in vain, for that stupid notebook. Pocket watched with a growing scowl until finally he snapped, "Oh, for the love of ... Here." And he crept forward, became a bat, hung from the edge of the nightstand and shot echolocation - that I couldn't hear - down to the floor. "It's between the legs of the nightstand," he told me, "just underneath." And he returned to the end of the bed.
So you clever folk out there should know what happened next.
WHY is Pocket right about those things? How does he know? The thing about that situation that really creeped me out was the certainty in his voice. It was more like, "It IS under the nightstand; look there; you'll find it." And he treats these things like they're nothing! They're something, all right. Something.

sometimes shadow sits on my shoulder and i kinda get a fuzzy image of what is behind me...this hasnt happened too much though and may be more of an imagination thing??/knowing surroundings ive sometimes had brief out of body experinces where i've ''seen'' myself from a different angle i.e above, from the side...which i find quite odd. again, im not sure about whats happening and im quite a sceptic of this sort of thing

I kinda have those out of body experiences. Only when I remember things they are from a different perspective. I don't think I've ever had an experience like seein what's behind me, but that doesn't mean I haven't. I could have just forgot. I tend to to that. Forget things.
Cat, that is strange. Rano's never done anything like it, but I'm sure he will now!

I can see things behind me. I don't know how, but it's true. When I walk down the street, Rome can be walking beside me, and will tell me when someone is coming down the street. I don't think this is a daemon thing, as daemons share the save eyes as their human. Of course, it could also be the fact that I use my ears and not my eyes most of the time.

Hm...well, the way Ra described it, it sounds like something that wei do. Er...he and I do separately(sp?). Rano'll be flying along beside the car, and he'll jump up when a car is comming, but I can't see the car till after he does it. What I do is I just feel things behind me. I use my ears too. And my nose. I am quite aware of my surroundings. I think that might be how I can tell my dreams from my reality. My dreams are all foggy and don't really have sound or smells or feelings. I just know that the person said something, didn't hear it. (Rano: here she goes again, rambling about her dreams) Me: hey! my dreams are very important to me. But yeah...I'm rambling. sorry.
Aleandra: a cursed bracelet? I'm sure I have something that's cursed. I have a 'good luck' necklace. Not really good luck, but when I don't wear it I feel empty. I even sleep with it on. It's quite special to me. Weird looking though. People often ask me what it is. I'm like 'its a necklace. What's it look like?' Nah...just annoying little kids. I can see why people would ask. It's a little glass jar(like tiny!) that has a pink/purple thing attached to the top, and little black shiny stuff floating around. With water in it. With wire wraped around. With a black cord. The pink/purple thing glows in the dark!

Hmm .... um ... ::looks to Pocket::
Pocket- You know. The pale thing. With Sylvester.
Cat: He doesn't know either. I can't remember it ... Blech. I have the worst memory of anyone I know. Tell the story, Ria, but you better do it justice. I'll remember after a few more keywords there ...

All these things have happened to me too, like one time I was going to feed two of my neighbor's dogs and walk them. The young dog, who usually waits by the door and wants to be walked as soon as possible wouldnt budge, he was cowering in a corner and had to be dragged outside. When I asked Dal (my daemon) he said something wasnt right and urged me to get outta there. Now that I think their cat was acting weird too.........................

To tell the trueth for a long time i'v had this sixth sence feeling since i was 10 years old ok it's not that long but i'v had different kinds of feelings. like for two years I could predict wich epissode of wich tv show was coming on and the exact time without a tv guide. lately I have this feeling that i'm being stalked but Cat said it's just my death. kleo sometimes just blanks out and it's creepy because I don't know why and after reading this I might know why alot of the time Kleo tells me he saw something but I could never see what he saw. I just told him that he's imagining things and to relax but I never belived him. and I thought he was kidding so I
KLEO- it's true she never belived me
kleo i'm so sorry now i know better

Wow. What an old thread. ;-) Oh well, I haven't seen it,so I'll post. Wei've done the alarm clock thing where he's told me the time before i got up and been right, and sometimes he just bounces around and when I wask what hei's doing,he says he's "Playing with faeries". He watches them all the time in 1st period, even if I can't see them. *shrug* My dogs seen a ghost before, too,I think? But my house isn't haunted-we're the first to live there.
All in all, I think that the vast majority of the world has expierence some sort of paranormal/psychic experience, but most of them wouldn't report it because they didn't want to seem as flaky or even didn't believe it themselves. If EVERYONE reported a situation in which the only natural way to describe it that makes sense was paranormal,I bet we'd have alot more people studying the affecs of poltergiests, psychics, and other such things. I already know of some kinda physiscist that studys the effects of magicks and such.

Yeah I've tried tha time thing. It didn't work. Cal is pretty much a sketic with all things paranormal, even though his human has a sixth sense For example: My mother's boyfriend's father (tongue twister eh?) is like the mafia. And he got caught, so now he's in jail, awaiting sentence and he's not even allowed bail. My mother was talking to me and I said, "he's not getting out." My mother was lke, "I thought you were empathic, I didn't know you ere clairvoyant, are you just guessing?" And I was obviously determined, deadly sure that I was right and Cal was chiding me, constantly. So I guess wei're the opposite duo

Wei often get premonitions of things that happen in the near future. They are never very important, and I sometimes forget all about them until the event comes to pass.
For example, I'll walk out onto a field with a football in my hands, then suddenly think: "I've seen this happen to me before, exactly the same!" It's like deja-vu but the event hasn't happened before. It's a really creepy feeling, especially as sometimes wei don't even get the premonition, just the feeling of seeing the event happen previously when the event does happen.
As for the paranormal stuff, I am really paranoid about ghosts. If I'm in the house on my own, I almost expect to see a shape at the lounge door downstairs if I look down the stairs; if I look out into the garden at night I always wonder if I'll see a blurry figure standing below; and I don't look out of ground-floor windows at night for fear of seeing some ghostly face press up against the glass or something. I don't really know why...
But I do! I remember when wei read a book when wei were around six years old, all about real ghost sightings. It had some weird photos of ghosts in, like a burning manor house with a blurry little girl's face visible at a second-floor window, and a panoramic view of a large graveyard with a cloaked figure with no face staring upwards at the north end. That book wasn't the best thing to imprint onto a six-year-old mind, especially an incredibly paranoid one. Looking back, wei would never have read that book at the time if we'd known what kind of things it would put into our mind.
