Yes, this will be about daemons. Hold on a sec and you'll see.
Alright, for those of you who don't know, I had surgery when I was 4 years old. The doctors poked and proded me and took blood, and put I.V.s in and pricked my fingers, and I forget what else. They had a lot of needles. Now, needles don't really bother me that much. I'm so used to them by now, that I don't even really feel it when I get a shot, or have blood taken. Now, Soda on the other hand...well, he's absolutely terrified of them. Needles freak him out so bad that sometimes I react to his terror.
Yesterday for example. For the last few days we've been doing an experiment on eggs in Biology. we recieved the egg after it had sat in vinegar for a day or so, which removed the shell, so all that was keeping it together was the membrane. We did our experiments, and then on the last day the eggs were full of water, because we had put them in water the day before. (it was something to do with osmosis...) So we got to go outside and play with our eggs. You could either poke it with a needle and try to get the water to go as far as it could without breaking the egg, you could do an egg toss with your partner, or throw the egg as far as you could. My partner wasn't there, but I didn't want to toss it anyway. I didn't want to throw it either, so I picked the poking thing. Well, as soon as my teacher got close with the needle to poke the egg, I freaked. I could feel Soda's anxiety and horror, and reacted to it. If I had felt exactly what Soda felt, I would've dropped the egg, and ran as far away as I could. That would've been a spectacle...Now I'm worried. Why is Soda so terrified of needles? I know the surgery wasn't that much fun, but it wasn't that bad either. When I ask him about it, he just huddles into a ball and says 'I don't like needles' he won't say anything else. I get a really cold feeling when he does this. I just don't understand....any help? Theories, advice...anything?
