Well, this night I had a horrible nigtmare. See if you find any sense: I was supposed to be Lyra, but my daemon was my own. I was in some kind of big building full of sunlight, and there were a lot of people. I could't find my daemon, and no one told me where he was. Then, I saw him. He was into a big crystal box. His form was a puppy form, this puppy: I couldn't have him with me, but i put my hand into a small opening. He put his frontal leg on my hand. I was trying to confort him when a man took me to other place. I was trapped in a room, in my father house. I tried to escape, wanted to be with my poor and sad daemon, but the man allways chased me. He was going to kill me, I couldn't get rid of him, so I jumper from the hole on the stairs. It was the seventh floor. Then, I was on the sea, and all souls were there. I hfinally was with my daemon. When we woke up after that, he was on my chest, and is strange because he never sleeps into the bed. He's too small, so sleeps on the pillow. But he was there because he had the same nigthmare... I'm still afraid. Has it happened to you? Do you thing it has a meaning?

Well whether it all has meaning is up to you: did anything in there has a special meaning to you? What was the feeling you had just as you woke up? The latter is especialy important.
I've never had a nightmare with Kay in it, whenever he was in it, I had the feeling of being with a wise presence..something I cannot put to words...It was far wiser than I was, a bit like when you find yourself before something venerable...weird dreams. but no nightmares. I hardly have nightmares.

hm..well my friend had a dream where she threw her daemon out a window... some dreams mean stuff and some are just a combination of what happened to you in the day and what you ate. You could look up what it means on a dream meaning website and see if it relates to your life right now. Often dreams mean things that arent obvious at first. So even though you were scared it could mean something else. If what the dream means doesnt really apply to your life right now, I would dismiss it as a run of the mill nightmare , just happening to include your daemon.

He was into a big crystal box. When I read that all I thought of was bonsai kittens Yeah, I have stacks of nightmares and most of them don't seem to have a meaning, and nothing happens because of them. (except for one where we were at a resort and through the window I saw a dinosaur come & eat me~ a week later we got to the resort and the view out the window was exactly the same! without the dinosaur of course). So most of those dreams don't seem to have a meaning accept maybe your powerful bond with your dæmon(which brings a whole new dimension to nightmares!). I've only had a couple of dæmon nightmares but I tend to blank them out of my memory.

I was supposed to be Lyra (...) I was in some kind of big building full of sunlight, and there were a lot of people. I could't find my daemon, and no one told me where he was. Then, I saw him. He was into a big crystal box. That made me think of Bolvangar. *shudder* Do you feel separated from Rester? Have you had any trouble communicating recently? But if you haven't, and the dream doesn't have any special meaning, I'd dismiss it like RabbitBoy said.

I had a similar dream (I call it a dream because to me it has a positive feeling to it) when I had first finished reading HDM. I was actually trying to find a dæmon for myself, and I felt incomplete throughout the whole thing. I was in Lyra's world, in a place with white rooms. Someone was hunting me down, but I didn't know who. In the end, I found my dæmon and then I stopped being hunted. I took it to mean that it was Syriel forcing herself into my mind, trying to say, 'Don't worry, you do have a dæmon, and I'm right here to help you.' I believe that dream was entirely enduced by Sy.
This is similar to yours because I take it to mean that you and your dæmon have a fear of separation, and your subconscious mind is telling your dæmon that you'll always find a way back, no matter what, and your dæmon's subconscious mind is telling you the same thing.
Think of it as a transition of feelings between you and your dæmon across dreams.
Heh, maybe I should practice the interpretation of dreams?

Thanks to all of you, we're better now. I think that I catched a whole meaning with bits of what you said. Aleandra and Raven, the day after the nightmare I read again the bit in Northem Lights in were Lyra set the daemons free (in Bolvangar) I think that was the first part. And, well, I'm finding it difficult to visualize Rester. I can't look at his face and put an ermine face where it should be... but when I'm not looking at him, I clearly know where his form is...really weird. Maybe the dream was some kind of warning...about that I'm not separated from my daemon even if I don't clearly see him... Thanks again. I think I cathed the meaning ^^

Well, I'd say that seems right. I was going to put my two cents in, but since you figured it out already, I won't. Glad you've worked it out. =)
