Everything does exist in a social and cultural context. But undoing the forbidden fruit mentality people have towards sex is an impossible task. Maybe if society undergoes a total reform... Also, raising boys and girls with no differences is impossible. They have different hormones. In essence, it's a good idea, but when it comes down to it, they are biologically different. Yes, we're all the same and equal but there still are differences.

i know, soon i hope for a sexual revolution..where guys who sleep around will be called sluts instead of hot shots. and for the children thing i was thinking more , raise them the same, like dont be like, you are a boy. this means you wear blue and have short hair you will only like girls. i mean, just let them be , you know?let them grow up feeling like they dont have to twist around just to fit in

There'll always be gender influences.

but the point is to integrate it early on , who they are, the whole point of being raised is to prepare you for the 'real world' and give you footing against the people who wont understand , the ignorant narrow minded people. im not saying it will be soon, or quick nothing big ever is...it is a whole world, a whole world that needs to change its mind frame. i dont know how people can even hope for it when the governments are all made up of older people who already have past values and are older, therefore its harder for them to accept new ideas like this. but when it does happen...i will be the first in line to call it the sexual revolution

i am sad...sad because i agree...people are so slow. goddam they are so slow sometimes! i got all worked up about this when i did my summative on how social deviance is good for society. older people hold the world back. its a scientific fact that the older you get the harder it is for you to accept you are wrong, to accept new ideas. Everyone in a place of power, a place to change things - OLD! i said we should kill all the old and mentally handicapped people and everybody called me hitler. ..i had theories..and a flow chart to support my theories.

Well...killing the old and mentally handicapped...that sounds a little harsh, even though I'm not entirely against it. *laughs nervously and runs away*

cant blame anyone for not wanting to be called hitler. lucky for me...the people here probably cant think any less of me than they already do...so why hide?

Hey bunny, you're open and what's wrong with that? Sure it may make some people uncomfortable but everyone has these thoughts, you're just expressing them. Wait, no that sounds wrong, I'm sure not everyone wants to kill old and handicapped people but anyways. About the whole gym thing, well it all depends on the person and their daemon really, if any of the daemons were like their humans in my school (where I do PE) then some would be respectful and not look, though some would be looking around curiously. But its usually, have you noticed, the daemons who find seeing their humans naked awkward? So maybe its the same if daemons had to see other humans naked? Ooh and another question, though probably not so awkward, when women are pregnant or in labour, what do the daemons do? I mean, seeing as how most would be male daemons?

Thats a semi-akward question! IT made me think! I can't see nymmi as rolling on the ground in pain no matter how terrible I was feeling. Sometimes when I'm sick he'll be out of it like a cat whose had too much cat nip, but I think he'd be trying to comfort me.. Push,Brooke, PUUUSSSSSHHHHH!!!!I'm not in labor now.... Just practicing. ^_^

Most recent questions....
4. Falel doesn't really care. I mean, he IS me, so why should it matter?
5. Gym, gack. >< I hate gym. But I never mind about changing. If people are weird about it, that's their problem. He'd probably be sitting nonchalantly on the bench, paying little attention to anything; or playing with someone else's dæmon, because I talked to people while changing for gym.

1. She is there in the bathroom, but we rarely speak. 2. This has not yet applied to us, it seems many of us ARE losers, as someone im too lazy to look up said. 3. I rarely have long conversations with her in the shower, but she is there, oddly enough often in the form of some indistinct small brown bird, this is one of the few times she changes it all, odd.... 4. Wei really don't care at all, I talk to her and project her without even thinking about it, after all, whats to be ashamed of, shes me and I'm her. 5. For gym its a nonissue, since people around here just switch their shorts and T-Shirts for it, nothing else.

In the gym senario, I could see Kara sitting somewhere casually watching what's going on...not because she would care about how people looked, but because it seems like she would be very nonchalant about the situation in general, unless there happened to be someone there that we held some sort of interest in. Otherwise, there wouldn't be anything behind the looking than a general "I'm bored and there's nothing else to do right now" sort of outlook.
Hmm...it does make sense that a pregnant woman's daemon would try to support her during labor...but it would probably change from time to time. If the woman's trying to be stoic under the pain, perhaps the daemon would be the one expressing it more, though it might not be in a dramatic way. Whether the reverse would apply is an interesting question, though...probably, it could, but it would depend on the daemon's personality, I think. I couldn't see Kara rolling around in pain, either...it's just not her style, I guess you could say.

Well, I talk to Morlani while I'm on the loo, and he normally turn into a mouse when I'm in the shower and sits on the soap rack cleaning his whiskers. I've never got around to properly kissing any boy, so I couldn't say about that.... But I think if the boy I was kissing knew about his daemon then they'd probably be messing around with each other in a playful way, like with Lord Asriel and Mrs. Coulter in the first book.
