How'd we get on the topic of Bush? I don't follow politics at all, and probably won't until it actually starts affecting me noticeably.

Don't worry Ali! I feel the exact same way! All my friends who are conservative view me as liberal and all my friends who are liberal view me as conservative. That's why I view myself as moderate, neutral, or...or...no party.

Heh, everyone at my school views me as a liberal, but the scary part is there wasn't a single other democrat in my entire speech class, so the debate the teacher intended to create turned into me explaining to a bunch of kids whove been listening to their uber republican parents too much that yes, I think we should have abortion, yes I think Bush is our worst president yet, and spent the rest of the class explaining how I wasn't anti american.

LOL! And that, folks, is why I never talk about my views at school. ><;

LOL! And that, folks, is why I never talk about my views at school. ><; We don't have political debates at school. The most we've had is before the election, we had a little mock election and had people pretend to be Bush and Kerry and try and convince people to vote for them. I never talk about my views at school either. When I said I was an athiest, everyone stared at me like I was crazy or something, except one of my friends who is also an atheist (and a daemian too).

We don't either, but before the election, everyone's ideas got really strong. >< A lot of people said they were voting for Nader. I kept my mouth shut for fear of offending any of my friends, who are conservative.

I think Kerry got 4/8 and Bush 3/8. This one girl wrote VOTE NADER! on a piece of paper and taped it to her shirt and wore it around all day. It was pretty funny. EDIT: And, to quote my sister: "The election's over. Now we can all be friends again."

The only reason I'm actually into political stuff (barely anyway) is because I dislike the shrub and he is from Texas, and since everyone else seems to dislike him as well, I like to make sure people know that Texans don't like him just because he's from here. =/

Hahah. I have contemporary issues this semester so we debate. However, luckily we have about an equal number of donkeys and horses, but me and a friend are most definatly too liberal for either and are a third party w/i ourselves.

Hannah, what part of Texas do you live in? I went to school in San Antonio for 1/2 a year when I was little. I thought Texas was cool then and the people were nice so I believe you, I'd hate Bush too if he came from my state! The southeast portion of it. North of Houston. San Antonio is nice. I went to Sea World when I was 8. Sea World is the best! I like the river walk too. It was neat looking. But that's all I remember. I've only been a couple of times. Unless I'm confusing that with the trip to Austin we took sometime in the general vicinity. o.o Yes. My part of Texas is the exact opposite of all the steriotypes. (I think I buthcered that word...) It's humid and very green. Lots of trees. And humid. The trees are pine (and are pollinating at this time of year. Everything has a yellow tint to it now.). Oh, did I mention that it's humid? And the people in New Mexico think 30% humidity is suffocating. *laughs maniacally* Sorry......rambling.....
