Since I have heard of it, I have told everyone i know. But I think its less about faith, more about philosophy and theories and psycology.

I'm a girl Monkey ^_^U.(Just as Hannah said) It's ok though! ;D It happens sometimes at school too Hmmm, I've told my best online friend, Nat about daemon's. She knows that hers is a red fox i'm really happy for her ^^ I'm thinking about telling my mom since she is the queen of paranormaly things(Although, daemons aren't paranormal. I just mean out of the ordinary ^.^U). I won't tell any of my friend since 99.9% of them might think i'm insane or something.....

I don't think it should make a difference what people think.

I haven't told anyone (my parents are the full intellectual type that don't believe in anything at all) but I told my bestfriend and lent her my 1st HDM book, half a year later and she still hasn't returned it and she ditched me as her friend for her boyfriend so I haven't got the confidence to tell anyone else. (still trying to get the confidence to ask for my book back) I can understand why it makes a difference what people think because it hurts when someone you like thinks your insane or crazy just because they don't understand.

Princess, I mus disagree with you. Maybe people would't change how they think where you live, but down here, tell someone that you talk to a little animal in your head, and that it talks back and see what they do. Not a very pretty reaction. Some will understand, but the rest are like o.O 'OMG you talk to the devil!!!' Heh....funny, though.

I've told my cousins (one of them couldn't sleep thinking we would kill him ;D) I told my dad about them, and my close friends. Half of them believe in daemons now. Perhaps they'll register in this forum

I've voted 2, as I've told nobody. As I see it, if I told them about daemons, there is a chance that they would be happy with discovering their own daemon. But there is a bigger chance that they would think I was crazy. Either way, Silvix and I will be happy, so the risks of telling someone outweigh the possible good outcome, therefore there's no point for me.

Well I've told a handful of people, three friends of mine, two of which were interested, my mother, my sister and a very close friend of mine. My sister now talks to her daemon, Que who's slowly starting to settle between a squirrel and a dolphin but we both think that he'll become a squirrel. The very close friend of mine is Alibee, so you probably all know her and yes she's trying to discover her daemon! She actually said that when she was feeling down she could feel something rubbing against her legs, as cats do, as though to comfort her!

I've forced people to read HDM in order to discuss dæmons , and also asked people what they think their dæmon would be ("if you had one, I mean!" ) but never actually talked about my belief in dæmons. My friends already think me insane enough, my brother would laugh, and my parents would ...I don't know what my parents would do, but I don't think I want to think about that.

I've told my shrink. She thinks it's facinating.

I told mine. He said that he agrees that a fox suits me.
Haven't been able to get back to him on that yet, though.

She said 'you think deep, girl' But then I had to leave. That was on Friday. I won't see her again until this next Friday.

I haven't seen mine in a couple of weeks. My father hasen't been feeling up to taking me.
I wanted to help him find a form for his dæmon. Oh, well. He's suspected that 'sees the subtle more than the obvious' thing for a long time now.
EDIT: I hate redundancy.

Haven't mentioned it to anyone. I've off-handedly thrown around the question, "What animal do you think you would be?" before, but mostly in a joking way, and no one really takes it seriously.
A few friends of mine have read HDM, and we've discussed daemons, but only in relation to the books.
My friends are a pretty diverse bunch and probably would have a reaction along the lines of, "Really? Cool. What's mine, do you think?" if I told them, but I'm not really certain I want to broach the subject at this point. It just feels a little too... personal? I dunno, that's probably not the word I'm looking for.
