I'm not ... entirely sure if these would go here. But here goes.
I was thinking about how Pocket sings to me to calm me down, particularly this one song that I love. He sings it so beautifully ^^ You guys gotta watch this: web.syr.edu/~bwlee/fun_stuff/shii_song.swf ( Warning: It's a bit of a sad song ) Anyway, it reminded me of Okibi and Rookie and their songs. And THAT reminded me of Mandy Moore's song, "Only Hope", which I only know the first four lines and the chorus. So I thought I'd put that up.
There's a song that's inside of my soul.
It's the one that I've tried to write over and over again.
I'm awake in the infinite cold, but you sing to me over
And over and over again.
So I lay my head back down,
and I lift my hands and pray to be only yours
I pray to be only yours.
I know now you're my only hope.
Sing to me the song of the stars.
Of your galaxy dancing and laughing and laughing again.
When it feels like my dreams are so far,
sing to me of the plans that you have for me over again.
So I lay my head back down,
and I lift my hands and pray to be only yours
I pray to be only yours.
I know now you're my only hope.
I give you my destiny.
I'm giving you all of me.
I want your symphony.
Singing in all that I am.
At the top of my lungs,
I'm giving it back.
So I lay my head back down,
and I lift my hands and pray to be only yours
I pray to be only yours.
I pray to be only yours.
I know now you're my only hope.
There was another song that I thought of, Josh Groban's "You Raise Me Up", but instantly didn't like it as a dæmon song, because the first line includes "and oh my soul, so weary". Otherwise, it instantly puts me in mind of a human singing to their dæmon.
When I am down, and oh my soul, so weary
When troubles come and my heart burdened be
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence
Until you come and sit awhile with me
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be
There is no life - no life without its hunger
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly
But when you come and I am filled with wonder
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up ... to more than I can be.
