Just wondering....has any one else read "Noughts and Crosses" by Malorie Blackman? Ive just finished it, and....wow! What a fantastic book. As soon as I finished it, I rushed to my local Borders and bought the sequel "Knife Edge" which Ive just started. Has anyone else read this?...Anyone?....

Okay, heres the blurb from the back of the bookn so I don't give away any spoilers.......
"Noughts and Crosses"
"Callum is a nought - a second class citizen in a world run by the ruling crosses.... Sephy is a Cross, daughter of one of the most powerful men in the country... In their world, noughts and crosses simply don't mix. And as hostility turns to violence, can Callum and Sephy possibly find a way to be together? They are determined to try. And then the bomb explodes..."
Not suitable for younger readers.

A few months ago it was voted one of the UKs top 100 books by the public. If you like HDM,s Will/Lyra relationship, I think you'll like the relationship between Callum and Sephy (I love that name!) in this.

I'm definetely going to have to read that, now. Oh, and before my computer totally freezes on me, I just wanted everyone to know that its suffering from some virus or other right now and being very strange. I'm lucky today; it actually let me open Internet Explorer. So I may not be on as usually as I am. Also, a week from tomorrow, I'm going on a ten-day trip to Nova Scotia ( yay lobster dinner ). I'll have to get Noughts and Crosses to read on the two-day drive.

^^; I'll make a note of that. But I think the only book that's ever really made me cry was the Amber Spyglass. The thought of leaving Pantalaimon on the shore - it's too sad to imagine
