You remember I e-mailed Maia? She replied.
( Simultaneous sigh of relief )
My e-mail just said that we were all worried, especially us forum veterans, and I hoped she was alright, and she's in my thoughts. Her reply:
"Hi Cat,
Its good to hear from you.
Yes, Im ......okay.
I haven't been on the forum for ages due to various things. I had a massive asthma attack at the end of January and had to go back into hospital. Because of the seriousness of the attack and my COPD, the hospital was really worried, particualarly as COPD in under 45 year old non-smokers is rare. My mum has told me since that at the time there was even preliminary discussion about me having to have a transplant. The other worry was that the emphysema affects my heart and can lead to serious complications. As there is higher than normal pressure in my lungs, there is a danger of eventual heart failure. Ive had to change my diet and Im on antibiotics, a nebulizer and some other drugs (Im awful at remembering the names). Ive been off work for a while now, but I should be able to go back in a few weeks. My sister has been checking my emails for me when I can't, and she let me know that you emailed. Thank you for your concern. I might be abl to come back onto the forum when I go back to work, but at the moment I just don't have the energy.
Please let everyone know that Im okay (particularly the "veterans") and hopefully I'll speak to you all soon.
xxx"
I posted this as fast as I could. ... I'm still worried about Maia, but at least she's alright. ^^; We can breathe a little easier.
