Don't worry, Tyb is the same way (Tyb: I don't want to symbolize love! Thats a pansy emotion!) If anyone else wants to hear words of wisdom from the almighty symbolism book, I'm more than happy to help. Anyways, we've jacked the thread, so I guess it would be best to get back to the topic...

Leopard "Symbol of courage, cruelty, and untamed instincts, the leopard is greatly revered in Africa, where it also represents the light of the morning sun. Leopard skins denote royalty and are worn to ward off danger. Because its markings resemble eyes, the leopard is sometimes known as the Great Watcher" (That was an African Leopard, but I think most of that can be applied to a Snow Leopard as well, Ice ) Wolverine "Native American mythology describes the wolverine as being a hero and a trickster, and a link to the spirit world. Early trappers and frontier people spun tales of a cunning, ferocious and destructive beast, calling the wolverine glutton or skunk-bear. Glutton, because sometimes a hungry wolverine would raid trapper's caches. Skunk-bear, for the musky scent that the animal can spray from scent glands when alarmed. In truth, the wolverine symbolizes mystery and cunning, and bravery in war" Yay, wolverine was in there. Hope you two liked those! If anyone else wants some, my book is here to help. ;D

I'm very late again, but anyhow.. Kiera--I can relate to being teased about smarts. I've always been at the top of the class and have had to endure the nicknames "Calculator", "Encyclopedia Girl", "Genius", and the ever-popular "Walking Dictionary". When I was in Grade 3, the boys used to chase me, flapping their arms and cawing. It went on for three years. I was very traumatized. As for prom gowns--I begged my parents and the principal to see if I could wear a wedding dress to my grade 7 grad. But I wasn't, *sigh* so I had to wear my goth outfit. Which was still pretty. ^^ Ahem.. Off topic.. Darkett is indifferent about my friends. He really likes Emma, but the other ten he doesn't care about. Selective raven as always...

wow, that sucks. i wasn't teased too badly about being smart <strike>because i'm not.</strike> XD No, that's not true. I'm another one who never had to study, was always at the top of the class, read a lot, etc etc. When i was in elementary school, i got teased some for being smart- so I kicked their ass. I was such a troublemaker as a child... ^^;; I was a lot like Lyra was before she went off on her journeys- rather an uncivilized little wildcat, i believe it was described.
Now, I completely disregard the few comments I get about my smartness, because I ignore the opinions of people who are stupider than me. Luckily, I generally don't have to deal with them because the idiots are, by and large, in regular classes instead of AP or honors.

*claps* Woohoo, I'm not the only one! Languages are my favourite lessons at school - I'm dreading the coming term, but I can't wait to get back to my Spanish and French classes... shame we don't do Latin...
Raven - you too, huh? I get called 'The Walking Dictionary'. It's meant in fun but I find myself irritated by it nonetheless.

i was encyclopedia girl and walking dictionary... i guess the 'cool' people aren't very creative with names. XD
but if i can get back on topic - falel has a sort of passive feeling towards my friends... i really don't have many good friends... only about ::counts:: three. >>;((this isn't counting online, because i have another three there. XD)) hei's less passive towards those three, especially cami, who's a daemian - but hei ignores just aquaintance friends.
ali and tyb - is there a phoenix symbolism entry? although it's not really much good, as lel's a fog phoenix. if not, then a cat or pine marten, as those are his other most common forms.

oh me too! Im teaching myself Russian right now, but i havent taken any languages in school. All they offer is French and Spanish. quote] I studied French for 5 years at school, and German for 3, but I'd struggle to hold a conversation in either now. I think that because English is so widely spoken in the world, our country tends to be a bit lazy when it comes to learning languages, as we don't really need to speak them when we go abroad. Awful isn't it? Im learning Japanese now though, and refreshing my knowlede of French as Paris is one of my favourite cities, and I'd like to be able to speak at least a little of the language when I visit Japan in a few years.

I studied French for 5 years at school, and German for 3, but I'd struggle to hold a conversation in either now. . Ooh stuggling with your French are you now? Hum...i can help whip you up to shape...*Both grin evil-ishly, cracking black whip* I was teased too in school, but not because i was smart but because everyone thought since i'm from canada and had a weird accent i was stupid. (Wei don't think wei're that stupid, are we?) But back to topic, Key doesn't ignore my best friends, which is a good sign. But weirdly he was laughing his head offat two new teachers we have at school. All flying outside (i get a window!) and distracting me...^_^
