You know I guess it just depends on the person. If there Daemon is wild then they probably are in some way to. But collars I think are pushing it, it just wouldn't make sense that your Daemon was wearing them. Or would it?

I,too, think it matters on the person. one person may see a colalr as taming the creature, and another see it as meaning flexable,or 'diffrent'.

Maybe it has something to do with pride and judgement and stuff. Like, if your daemon wears a collar, maybe you need to restrain yourself more. Like, I'm really prideful, and Rho used to wear a collar. I think it's something to do with him rebelling against my pride by wearing something that can be considered degrading.

That would make sense. I've never had pride problems and the very thought of Nemith wering a colar hadn't occured to me until someone on here mentioned it.

jov wears bells around his neck sometimes, like when he wants me to pay attention to him or assure me that he's there or just plain annoy me.
He hasn't got an actual collar though, he said it's 'unecessary,' whatever that means.

I,too, think it matters on the person. one person may see a colalr as taming the creature, and another see it as meaning flexable,or 'diffrent'. Or it could mean tame and obediant. Now the question is why would your daemon were a collar? I personaly never knew that daemons wore anything at least constantly.

Hmmm it is rather confusing. You know what? Cal - you talk. You can explain better than I can *Sighs* Collars, dog tags, bangles...whatever! They are all significant in many ways. No 1. Your individuality, it expresses your very soul by having your daemon wear something significant and unusual such as a collar or dog tag. No 2. They hold great secrets. I'll leave you to find out number 2 by yourselves

Even if your Daemon is a wild animal? hmmm..... I still don't think it makes much sense, I'll talk to Kiba.

I think it makes sense, collars are just sort of a symbol, right? jovvie doesn't wear a collar, but he's got sort of odd eyes. Not goat eyes anyway, they're sort of amber-orange, kind of luminous. He's telling me it's sort of the same thing as having a collar, they way anything about him is interpreted is entirely up to me. He's saying collars and such kind of.. represent the bond? I might be wording this wrong, but he doesn't feel like talking in words.

I'v ealways seen it as some kind of bond. More like a....Okay, lost him there, I THINK its meant to be interpreted as a.....different kind of relationship between the human and daemon? That would make sense to me. I mean, I know why Tyb doesn't have a collar, per say. Don't get me wrong, I love my daemon to death, but I've never taken it too terribly seriously. My mind and beliefs change so often I never want to completely and utterly dedicate myself to any true beliefs for too long. (reminds me of the arctic tern analysis "Thoughts and beliefs can change drastically over a period of time". I fall under that category so well its weird. ^_^; We have a different relationship than most daemian/daemons. But I like it that way. Maybe thats why hei doesn't have a collar.......

That's always scared me. Goats are cute, but the eyes...*shudder* Anyways,I'm not sure about the collar. Maybe its just a way of differentiating themselves from a wild animal like..."Hey,I may be a tree-climbing monkey, but I'm still diffrent! I'm MORE than jsut a monkey!"Nymmi doesn't have an opinion on it,he just gets a smug look like "I'm so much better than them." He gets that look alot. XD

Goats are cute, but the eyes...*shudder* I don't mind goat eyes, I kinda like 'em, but jovofer's aren't all square-pupily anyway. They haven't actually really got pupils I'm sure, it's kind of hard to look directly at his face. Kind of like a darker patch in the middle, they aren't empty, but not pupils in the traditional sense. The best word I can come up with still is 'luminous.' The 'so much more' thought regarding collars makes a lot of sense to me, too.

But still think of the concept of a collar. What is it for, well restraining animals free will for one. showing owner ship. having power over the animal to control it. Now do realy want one of those things on your Daemon should you not be equal without such a symbol. The should be on the same level as us not inferior, they aren't just animals you know they are you so if you are the kind of person who likes being opressed fine by me but I think the concept is a bit on the wrong side.

Hey I didn't make the collar - he's just wearing it! But here are a few good points about Cal's collar and dog tags
1. It helped me discover the meaning of him, my soul. Dark Star
2. It also helped me to find the second part of his name, Randeras without which, it would still feel like something was missing from his title.
3. The beautiful ruby collar shows that he is above just a wild, primate panther. The ruby shows expense and so, how important it is.
4. It looks so cool ^^
