I was just curious what people's dæmon's names meant. I discovered the meaning of Ash's one day when wei were just sitting down, relaxing. Suddenly, it just hit me: Ashétér meant "dark brooding one".
At the time (ignorant me) I didn't know what brooding meant, so I looked it up in a dictionary. As it turns out, brooding meant to be in constantly pondering (yay! perfect description!) and I looked up dark (because it to me it meant evil, and I'm not evil!!!) and it meant many things that described me, like that I was hard to understand and that I had a grim satiric humor, and yes, I do.
(If anyone here has read Great Expectations, perhaps you remember the part where the evil, crispy Miss Havisham caught fire (I think of that dude from LOTR: Return of the King who jumped off the tall cliff/building instead of stopping, dropping, and rolling). Of course I (being me) thought that that part of the book (and the movie) was soooo funny (maybe I'm a pyromaniac?) as did some of my friends (perhaps I am evil? mwhahaha.....! Um, no.)
EDIT: AGH!! ! MY POLL IS ON HERE TWICE!!! Um.... HELP?!

Whoo, good poll. I'm not sure how to answer. "Pocket" has no real meaning. But his formal name, "Pandareos", is Greek for "a thief". Guess I'll go with #1.

No known meaning to me.
I don't know how you'd get rid of the other one.

Nemith means nothing in a normal language as far as we know,but to us it seems to be Princely,or Regal. His other name,AnpuNumen,however,means Anubis Soul,because he's a black jackal....>>;
I posted this on the other one,too. xP

Lanh is from some language, meaning sly, swift,and clever. it started out asa dæmon for an anthro character on anrping site I'm on.. and he was a fox. So when I found Okibi's site... the name just stuck.

Although his formal name, 'Zedith', has no real meaning, I looked up 'Zed' on babynames.com and it says that in hebrew it means, "God is Fair". Anyone who wants to check and see if their daemon's name has a meaning can go here- www.babynames.com

I prefer this site: pregnancy.parenthood.com/babynames.htmlLawrence: laurel-crowned Charles: man; strong Watson: son of Walter xD XD Y' laurel-crowned son of Walter. If you say it like that it sounds like a diss, eh? My name: First: pure Middle: God's oath My last name as a name means "famous in battle" but the actual name as a last name comes from the Welsh name "Llewellyn" meaning "lion". Pure lion. =) I like that.
